As part of the celebrations marking 480 years of relations between Portugal and Japan, as well as the commemoration of Portugal Day, Camões, and the Portuguese Communities, the Hillside Forum gallery in Tokyo—designed by renowned Pritzker Prize-winning architect Fumihiko Maki—hosted this exhibition. The show presents an imaginary journey to Japan, exploring impossible cities and reimagined urban landscapes through the artist's drawings. In addition to the illustrations, the exhibition featured the namban folding screen Auto da Barca do Efémero and the launch of the book My Plan For Japan, which includes texts by Carlos Vaz Marques, Jorge Figueira, and Vitor Sereno.
